Together with two Engineers, Guido and Lester, Sebastiaan shared their experience and expertise concerning the implementation of DevOps at ING. It is important to focus on technique, behavior, developing skills and having the right mindset. But overall, a smooth transition is all about teamwork, entrepreneurship and the willingness to continuously develop yourself.

Sebastiaan Kalshoven is an IT Area Lead at ING, where he is responsible for the Strategic Core Banking Platform. He graduated in 2001 at the University of Applied Science in Utrecht in Communication and Management. Initially he fulfilled the role of Network Specialist in the Telecom sector, but eventually started to work for ING. Here, Sebastiaan has been actively involved in the transition to DevOps. As IT Area Lead, he ensures the stability of the systems which are used by more than 10 million people.
